Instrumental beats are one of the most versatile musical instruments.
They can be played on their own, as accompaniment to other instruments, or mixed with them.
They’re also used in a variety of musical genres, from jazz to blues, rock, hip hop, and country.
In a recent article in The Conversation, violinist and composer John Kavanagh explains the importance of using harmonic beats to create unique sounds.
“It’s not just that you can play chords, you can even play basslines,” he says.
But it’s not that you’re going to play a bunch of harmonic tones and make them into a song, because that’s not how jazz works.
Jazz is a way to express yourself, to make your own choices, and the idea of playing harmonics is very much in the eye of the beholder.”
The question of which instrument best fits the role of harmony instrument is often hotly debated.
“There are some really nice violins,” Kavanah says.
“[But] they are expensive and they require specialised equipment.
There are a few good basslines that you could probably use, but the ones that I use in my music tend to be really loud and have very, very, really complex patterns, and they have a lot of harmonies that you don’t get on most other instruments.”
He adds that, as with most musical instruments, it’s all about context.
“If you’re working with a piano, you’ll probably find a way of doing it that suits the music better, and it’ll be easier to work with the sound,” he explains.

What are the violins actually made of?
It’s important to understand that there are many different types of violas, with a wide range of weights and sizes.
The viola is made up of a series of hollow hollowed-out cones.
These cones are made of hollowed clay, clay that has been mixed with sand and then baked into a powder.
When the clay is cooled, the clay has become brittle, and a thick layer of clay is formed around the cone.
This layer of hardened clay prevents the cone from cracking.
When you hold the viols upright, they sound hollow, with their hollowed cones.
The sound of a viola comes from a small hollow in the cone, and there are also a number of hollowing chambers in the back of the viol.
These chambers are the “piano-shaped” chambers that are used to generate the sound.
The chamber that contains the sound is called the bass chamber.
It’s made of a piece of wood, which has been hardened and then covered with clay.
The clay layer is held in place by a thin layer of polyester resin, which is used to create the sound of the instrument.
When this resin is removed, the wood becomes brittle, which gives the wood an uneven sound.
This uneven sound creates a different tone from the wood and is what gives the sound a ‘bassy’ quality.
Violins are usually made of either ebony or ebony-finished wood, and each viola has an ebony fingerboard, and some have an eboney fretboard.
Violas can be a bit difficult to find in their natural state.
“The best way to get a violas is to find one that is from a reputable brand,” says John Kavanagh.
“A lot of them are hand-crafted and they are very expensive.
It can be quite expensive, and you have to go and buy it yourself.”
But even though they may not be as expensive as other types of instruments, violas have to be treated differently.
“You can’t just walk into a store and say, ‘Look, this is a beautiful viola, this will cost you a fortune,’ ” he says, adding that they have to look and sound different from one another.
“When you go and see one, you should think ‘What can I do to make it sound a little more organic?’
If you’re trying to make the most of the sound and not the sound, it should be something that’s very natural and that can’t be made in a factory, so you have got to make something that is very natural.”
How to play viola
